It's not a given; it's a choice. And it's a choice, a faith, that the modern, western, liberal, secular world has imposed on the less modern, non-western, conservative, non-secular world. In fact, it's one of their chief complaints. <br /><br />The second of our faiths, one that you don't mention but still central, is that economic man -- rational, self-interested, and interdependent -- trumps dignified man -- moral, emotional, and willing to die for what seems like an irrational cause. <br /><br />Until Democrats start to get those ideas, we will not win another election.mark grosshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08346879213564000790noreply@blogger.com
